William Clair (Bill) Rupert, 62, a resident at Fulmerâ€™s Personal Care Home, Lock Haven, PA, died June 24, 2012 at the Lock Haven Hospital Emergency Room. Born Sept. 6, 1949 in Lock Haven, the son of the late Russell Edward & Mary Rosella Waite Rupert. Early in his life, Bill was homebound & later attended the Castanea School for the handicapped. Later, he attended the Johnstown Rehabilitation School where he earned a degree in small engine repair. Bill had been employed as a dispatcher for the old Lock Haven Taxi & as a carrier for the Lock Haven Express. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, & watching football, especially the Super Bowl & the parties at his niece Kellyâ€™s home. He also enjoyed spending time with his family on holidays & special occasions. In his younger years, Bill enjoyed playing guitar & yodeling.
Bill is survived by 1 sister, Linda Crawford, Lock Haven, PA, 3 nieces, Kelly (John) Worden & their daughter, Hannah, Lock Haven, Kimberly (Chris) Barzona & Brandon, Christy, Seth & Kayla, Lock Haven and Kathryn (Jeff) Heivly, Jason & Kaila, Lock Haven. Also surviving are a nephew, Joseph (Jenn) Crawford, Josie & Jack, Loganton, PA and an aunt Anna Mae DeHaas, Blanchard, PA as well as numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by a nephew, William (Bill) Crawford.
Out of respect for Billâ€™s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Interment will be in Hayes-Fearon Cemetery, Beech Creek, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes thru the funeral home. Billâ€™s family wishes to give special thanks to the Community Nursing Service & Fulmerâ€™s Personal Care home for the care they provided him.
