Dorothy J. “Dot” Jackman, 85, 4005 Nittany Valley Drive, Howard, PA died December 31, 2019 at the Gatehouse Hospice, Williamsport, PA following a very courageous battle with ALS.. Born March 28, 1934 in Flemington, PA she was the daughter of the late Richard and Helen Spotts Smith. In September 1965 she married Fred S. Yarnell who died October15, 1999. On December 7, 2002 she married Robert E. Jackman who survives.
Dot was a member of the Lamar United Methodist Church, the Kiwanis Club of Mill Hall and the Civil War Reenactors. She was a graduate of the Lock Haven High School in 1953 and had attended the Eastern Pilgrim College. Dot was a very dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who took great joy in spending time with her family whom she dearly loved. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and floral arranging.
She is survived by:
1 Daughter: Shawna L. (Stephen) Wurm, Flemington, PA
1 Granddaughter: Elizabeth E. (Bryan) Haagen
4 Great-Grandchildren: Tanner Miller, Damion Darby, Trenton Haagen and Serenity Haagen

A Memorial Service honoring the life of Dorothy J. “Dot” Jackman will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2 PM in the Lamar United Methodist Church with her pastor, Pastor Richard Conklin officiating. Friends will be received in the church 1 hour prior to services. Interment Zion Union Cemetery,
