Richard H. Mann, 88, 7957 Nittany Valley Drive., Mill Hall died September 24, 2019 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Born July 9, 1931 in Beech Creek, PA he was the son of the Grant T. and Edna Myers Mann. On August 1, 1950 he married his loving wife, Janet R. Duke who survives.
Dick was a 1949 graduate of the old Mill Hall High School. He was the co-owner of Mann’s Garage with his late brother, Thomas, now owned by his sons, Dennis and Brian. Although he retired in 1992, he continued to help out daily in the shop.
He was a long time member of the Cedar Heights Brethren in Christ Church. In addition, he enjoyed spending time on the Susquehanna River, taking daily rides on his pontoon boat with his wife and attending the many activities and sporting events of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are his children, Richard T. (Bridgette) Mann, Karlsruhe, Germany, Sandra (Samuel) Schrack, Montoursville, PA, Dennis (Dawna) Mann, Mill Hall, PA and Brian (Lori) Mann, Mill Hall, PA.
He dearly loved his grandchildren: Stacy (Scott) Kelly, Jamie (Charles) McCann, Stephanie Erlandson, Phillip (Alexandra0 Mann, Kristi (Matt) Hoover, Brandon (Rochelle) Mann and great grandchildren: Savanna, Danica, Macy, Camry, Isaac, Carley, Josey, Madden, Emerson, Reagan, Maxi and Cameran.
Also survived by a step-sister, Anna Mary Sullivan, Eagle Ridge Personal Care Home, Mill Hall.
Preceeded in death by brothers, James and Thomas and an infant sister, Edna and a step sister, Eleanor Harner
Funeral services for Richard H. Mann will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 in the Cedar Heights Brethren in Christ with his pastor Scott Garman officiating. Friends will be received in the church Thursday from 6-8 PM and again 1 hour prior to the service at 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cedar Heights Brethren in Christ Church or the Central Pennsylvania Community Band through the funeral home.
