David R. Wagner, 85, 19 Wagner Lane, Mill Hall, PA died August 29, 2021 at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College, PA. Born November 7, 1935 in Philipsburg, PA, he was son of the late Roman D. and Virginia D. Calderwood Wagner. On August 9, 1957 he married Kay F. Lingle who survives at home.
Dave was a 1954 graduate of the Mill Hall High School. He worked at Piper Aircraft until it closed and he had been the owner of the Wagner Mountain Stone Masonry until he retired. He proudly served in Co. B, 504th AIR and had earned his Parachutist Badge. He was a member of the honor guard which participated in many veteran’s and community activities. Dave was of the Methodist faith, a member of American Legion Post 623, Beech Creek, PA, L.O.O.M #100, and the Sons of Italy both of Lock Haven, PA. and the 82nd Airborne Assoc. He enjoyed painting, and had been a volunteer Varsity and Junior Varsity Wrestling coach at B. E. N.as well as a volunteer coach for Mat Town, USA during the 1980’s.

1 Granddaughter: Nicole R. (Troy Orner) Butler

A funeral service honoring the memory of David R. Wagner will be held Thursday Sept, 2, 2021 at 12:30 PM in the Dean K. Wetzler, Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, PA with Pastor Rick Conklin officiating. Friends will be received in the funeral from 10:30 A.M. until time of services. Interment, Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven, PA
