Robert L. Irvin, (LTC ret.) 88, 12 Homestead Dr., Mill Hall, PA died January 3, 2021 at his home. Born November 26, 1932 in Mill Hall, PA he was the son of the late Charles J. & Orpha R. Harber Irvin. On June 15, 1956 he married Sylvia J. Kramer who survives.
Bob was a 1950 graduate of the Lock Haven High School and was a 1973 graduate of the Lock Haven University with a degree in Secondary Education-Earth and Space Science. He served in the U. S. Air Force Strategic Air Command and flew in 28 Combat Missions over North Korea. He was discharged from the Air Force as a Staff Sgt. Bob then enlisted in the U. S. Army and the PA Army National Guard retiring as a LTC. He was a 1977 graduate of the army Command and General Staff College.
Among his many awards and citations are the Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korea Service Medal, Air Force Reserve Medal, Overseas Service Medal, PA Service Ribbon with 1 star, Gen. Thomas R. White Ribbon, Gen. T.J. Stewart Medal, Aircraft Crewman Badge, Meritorious Service Medal with 2 OLC.
Bob was a long-time faithful member of the Blanchard Church of Christ where had been an Elder and Deacon. He served as Chairman of the Elders for a number of years. Bob was a 30 + year member of the Beech Creek-Blanchard Vol. Fire Co and Ambulance Assoc. and had served as President of the Co. for 9 years.
Bob had retired from the Bower Wire Cloth Tool and Die, Inc., Jersey Shore, PA where he had been an administrative assistant.
His survivors include:

2 Sisters: Roberta Muthler, Castanea, PA and Hope Marston, Watertown, NY

5 Brothers: Leslie, R. David, Bernard, Sheldon and Carl E. “Skip” Irvin who died, January 2, 2021.
A funeral service honoring the memory of Robert L. Irvin will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 11:00 A. M. in the Blanchard Church of Christ with his Pastor, Russel Moldovan officiating. Friends will be received in the church 1 hr. prior services.
