We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Dean K. Wetzler Jr Funeral Home
Treva Vaye Lucas, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. She was born on November 26, 1947 in Bellefonte, PA. She lived her entire life in Centre County and she never wanted it any other way.
Loved ones that cleared the path for Treva were her parents the late William (Red) and Marie Krape. Family that will miss Treva until they meet again are her husband Jerry Lucas; her daughters and son in laws Rachel and David Tews of Corning, NY and Jolie and D. Keefer Wetzler of Montoursville, PA. Her pride and joy in life were her Grandchildren, Ethan and Aiden Wetzler and Sophia and Chloe Tews and the many extended family members including sisters, sister-in-law’s, brother-in-law’s, nieces, nephews, and cousins that were so very dear to her.
She was a loving, devoted, stay at home mother and wife. Treva and Jerry have been married for 55 years. Through those years she was a fiercely loyal and exceptionally devoted companion standing by Jerry in all the years of sickness and health. Treva and Jerry met at the Grange Fair, fell in love, married and raised two wonderful daughters and loved becoming grandparents. When it was time to go-----Treva left this world at the Grange Fair the same place she met Jerry.
Treva was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Our “Beauma,” as she is called by her grandchildren said they are going to miss her infectious laugh, snickerdoodle cookies and her amazing cooking. But most of all her warm hugs. All four grandchildren will say one of their favorite places was in their Beauma’s arms.
Treva enjoyed simple pleasures: gardening, reading, cooking, family and friends.
She also loved seasonal decorating from pumpkins to daisies to Santa clauses to Easter bunnies, she always made her home special with her creative touch and made sure everyone who entered felt warm and welcomed. She loved to entertain and host gatherings with her family and friends, especially at Thanksgiving when she was surrounded by family both near and far.
We love you and miss you. Until we meet again…..
