William D. “ Wilkie” Wilkins, 90, 227 Girard St., Mill Hall, PA died March 9, 2021 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Born January 7, 1931 in Lebanon, MO, he was the son of the late Melvin D. and Freddie E. Morgan Wilkins. ON September 10, 1988 he married Carol A. Harris in the Salona Lutheran Church. She survives at home.
“Wilkie” served in the Pennsylvania National Guard and the U. S. army Reserves. He ended his military career as a SP5. He had worked at Piper aircraft, Rockwell International and retired from Brodart in 1996. Bill helped build the Challenger space craft and B-1 bombers. Bill was a Lutheran by faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching Collin play baseball, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penn State football, and NASCAR racing and he was an awesome photographer, always taking pictures but seldom in them. “Wilkie” was also a member of American Legion Post 131, Lock Haven, PA.

2 Sons: William (Kate) Wilkins and Robert (Karen) Wilkins both of Lock Haven, PA
2 sisters: Dorothy (Lee) Hershberger of OK and Jane (Dwight) Gooding, Marian, KS
1 Brother: Hayes Wilkins, Piedmont, MO

A funeral service honoring the life of William D. “Wilkie” Wilkins will be held at 8 PM Monday, March 15, 2021 in the Dean K. Wetzler, Jr. funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, PA with Pastor Alan Eckenroad officiating. Friends will be received in the funeral home form 6PM until time of services.
